One of the comments we routinely hear from potential clients when we meet with them during our initial consultation is how much they appreciate the amount of information they receive. Our firm philosophy has always included the goal of educating our clients about the divorce process and the options they have to get through their family law matter. We believe that clients who are aware of each step and who understand the process are better able to participate in preparing for trial and for reaching settlement agreements. When considering this feedback, we decided that one of the best ways to serve our clients and potential future clients would be to write down most of the commonly-asked questions in the form of a book. And that is how our book, “A Practical Guide to Oregon Divorce,” was born.
This book is not intended to replace the advice of a skilled divorce attorney. We did not set out to write a comprehensive guide to address all of the issues that may arise in a family law case. It would be impossible for us to cover the many different fact patterns that exist, or the twists and turns a case might take. Even cases with seemingly similar facts can result in completely different outcomes, depending on the details of the case. However, the book does provide an overview of a standard divorce case in a step-by-step manner, so clients can anticipate the major milestones ahead.
This book is available for free by visiting our website at www.brittle-law.com, and can be downloaded in a number of formats, including Kindle, Nook, IBook, EPub, and even web format. We urge you to download a copy today. When you are ready to speak with a lawyer about your options, give us a call to schedule an initial consultation. Bring your questions with you and we will build on the information already provided in the book and on our website, to help you make the best decision for proceeding with your case.
